Day 01: Arrival in Nepal
We will receive you at Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu. A private vehicle will transfer you and your luggage to a top class hotel in Kathmandu. After checking in at the hotel, you will be introduced to our staffs as well as briefed about the trek itself. You may have time to wander outside in the streets and observe the lifestyle of people in Nepal. Dinner at a fine restaurant may be a good start of your stay in Nepal. The hotel will provide you with bed and breakfast service.
Day 02: Preparing equipment and making permit
Day 03: Drive to Arughat
Waking up in the hotel in Kathmandu and having a fine breakfast there, you will go on a drive to Arughat, which will take about eight hours in a tourist bus. The altitude of Arughat is about 700 meters. You will be staying in a tented camp there. A good crew will be taking care of your logistics throughout the trek. Staying overnight in a tented camp will be interesting.
Day 04: Trek to Sati Khola
On the third day, you will be trekking to Sati Khola. It will take about six hours to reach Sati Khola. At an altitude of 815 meters, Sati khola will be a moderate place to stay in terms of climate. You will be spending the night in a Tented Camp.
Day 05: Trek to Machha Khola
After spending the night at Sati Khola, you will head on towards Machha Khola, another river at an altitude of 900 meters. The trek will take about five and a half hours. Again, a tented camp will be prepared for your stay in Machha Khola. Campfire is a good idea while staying in a tent in a place like Machha Khola.
Day 06: Trek to Jagat
On the fifth day, you will be trekking to Jagat, a place situated at an altitude of 1340 meters. The trek takes about six hours uphill. Since you are to reach altitudes over 5000 meters, you will be ascending everyday. But despite the tiring uphill pursuit, you will be enjoying the beauty around. Manaslu trail will certainly fascinate you. Moreover, staying in a tent is another adventrous aspect of this trek.
Day 07: Trek to Ngyak
Further ascending into the hills to reach the mountains, on the sixth day, you will reach Ngyak. It takes about six hours to reach there. Ngyak is at an altitude of 2310 meters. You will stay in a tented camp on Ngyak too.
Day 08: Trek to Ghap
On the seventh day, you will be trekking to Ghap, another six hours from Ngyak. The altitude of Ghap is about 2100 meters. The trek will take about six hours and you will be staying in a tented camp.
Day 09: Trek to Lho
On the eighth day, you will leave Ghap and trek for about six hours to Lho. This place is at an altitude of 3148 meters. Besides the adventure in travelling through remote landscape of the Manaslu Region, you will also experience the natural peace that the region beholds. Moreover, staying in a tented camp every night throughout the trek is another speciality of Manaslu Trekking.
Day 10: Trek to Samagompa
On the ninth day as well, you will be walking uphill to reach an altitude of 3517 meters. The destination for the day will be Samagompa. It will take you about five hours to reach there. Samagompa is another wonderful place to spend a day at. The altitude of these areas, the mountainous speciality in climate and the Buddhism dominant way of life are enough to fascinate you. Again, a tented camp will be arranged for your stay at Samagompa.
Day 11: Trek to Samdo
Samdo is another transit in the trek. After trekking for about four hours from Samagompa, you will reach this wonderful place. The altitude of Samdo is about 3738 meters. Resting your body in a tented camp at Samdo, you will have time to observe the beauty of the Manaslu region. The snowcapped peaks of Manaslu region are worth sitting down and staring.
Day 12: Trek to Dharamashala
Another spectacular place of transit in this trek is Dharamashala. At an altitude of 4480 meters, Dharamashala offers you with brilliant scenic view and wonderful cultural experience with the Sherpa people living there. The trek to Dharamashala takes about four hours and a tented camp will be prepared for your stay over there.
Day 13: Rest and acclimatization
By this day, you will have reached a significant altitude. But wait, there is another eight hour trek that takes you to an altitude above 5000 meters. So, we have set aside a day for acclimatization at Dharamashala. It is a must for occasional visiters like you because people find it hard to cope with the climatic extremity and hence may have problems in breathing. This day still is not an idle day. You will not regret staying there against the giant peaks and finding peace in the lap of one of the Himalaya’s magnificent peaks, Mount Manaslu.
Day 14: Larke Pass
In this part of the world, you will find some of nature’s unusual creations. One of them is Larke Pass. Crossing the Pass is the most memorable part of the trek as told by tourists who have been through it. An altitude of 5213 meters is itself an amusing thing, and the beauty it beholds, the mountain giants staring at every step of yours and the spectacular view of the peaks; everything in this trek will keep your jaws open even when you will try to recall the moments. Trekking through Larke Pass, you will descend downwards to Bhimtang. Bhimtang is at an altitude of about 3890 meters.This trek takes about 8 hours. You will spend the night at Bhimtang in a tented camp.
Day 15: Trek to Tilje
After you reach the highest point in the trek and travel through the Larke Pass, it’s not that the excitement in the trek is finished. You will be returning back through a new route and thus there will be equally fascinating things along the route. On the fourteenth day, you will reach Tilje which is at an altitude of about 3010 meters. It is a 5-hour trek and a tented camp will be arranged at Tilje for your stay.
Day 16: Trek to Tal
Day fifteen will take you down to an altitude of 1725 meters. The destination is called Tal and the trek is of about 5 hours. The place will be moderate in temperature, will have differently cultured people, varying languages and unique topography. So, the trek down from Tilje will be equally exciting for you if you intend to learn the lifestyle of people and the heterogeneity in the settlements. You will spend the night in a tented camp.
Day 17: Trek to Syange
The sixteenth day will take you through the hilly terrain to a place called Syange. It is at an altitude of about 1175 meters. The night will be spent in a tented camp. SInce these will be the final few days of the trek, you should, and we suggest you to, campfire and make the days memorable.
Day 18: Trek to Besisahar
The next day will be a trek down to an altitude of 825 meters. The place is called Besisahar, and it is the headquarter of Lamjung District, one of the political subdivisions of Nepal. Besisahar, thus is an important place. You will find more dense settlements and markets over there. Again, a tented camp will be set up for you to stay in.
Day 19: Drive to Kathmandu
Finishing the active trekking part of this program in seventeen days and having enough in your cameras and minds to recall, you will drive back to Kathmandu from Besisahar on the eighteenth day. It is a six hours’ drive and you will reach the capital city. You may have some time to go out in the city, buy some souvenirs, gifts to your near and dear ones, dine at some fine restaurant, perhaps try some Nepalese cuisines and walk around the streets. A rated hotel will be arranged for your stay.
Day 20: Departure
On the nineteenth day, you will pack all your belongings and drive in our private vehicle to Tribhuwan International Airport. Your suggestions will be precious for us, so we will be taking as much suggestions we can from you so that the next trek of yours can be even more exciting, safe and managed.
