The last remaining Buddhist Kingdom,  known by the names of -  The Land of Thunder Dragon and The Last Shangri La is a hidden treasure in Asia. It is also the first and only nation to measure Gross National Happiness as the key economic and social indicator. The country sits on the laps of eastern Himalayas and enjoys a diverse climate from northern mountains to southern plains. The country remained isolated for a long time, because it was closed to the outer world until as recently as 1974. In a short time, Bhutan has become one of the best tourism destinations. The country houses many ancient temples, monasteries, stupas with prayer flags and strategic fortresses known as Dzongs. The culture and tradition is heavily influenced by the religion.
