Let me introduce myself. My name is Ram Adhikari and I am a freelance independent trekking guide in Nepal. I have been working as a trekking guide and tour leader in Nepal since 2003 and also organize adventure trekking and holiday tours.

To all the porters  - thank you for making our trek to Annapurna Base camp possible, for getting us up and down the many many steps and providing us with  wonderful food and accommodation.  The Chitwan adventure was a special way to finish our holiday.  Even a heavy monsoon shower did not dampen our spirirts !!  We enjoyed the all day jeep safari , the animals and bathing  with the elephants. I have known Ram for over four years when he first worked with me as a guide and now he has his own company he will continue to work with me in his professional role as director of his trekking company. We have trekked many kilometers with him and his porters - to the Khumbu region-Tengboche-Khumjung and the many trails on the Annapurnas-Ghorepani-Tadapani etc. He has also travelled to Tibet and Darjeeling so his knowledge is extensive.  I will continue to use Ram's services in the future and wish him well for the coming trekking seasons.

Our youngest was eight years old! There were nine in our party. Throughout this amazing adventure we felt completed cared for by Ram and his team. It was the experience of a lifetime. In Kathmandu we first met Jhamka and from the first moment we had a real good feeling about the organisation of our trekking. In the mountains we had a fantastic time talking, singing, playing football, and visiting interesting places and off course enjoying the brilliant view everywhere. The highest peak we reached was over 5000 meters high and being on the top gave a great feeling. We are grateful to Jhamka and Ram for the great time we had during our trekking. The memory of having chicken and beers with the entire group and singing Nepalese songs all night will never be forgotten! It was an amazing trip and we would reccomend anyone who wants to do a trekking in Nepal to go with Jhamka and Ram!
Eric Prinsen, Netherland In November of 2009 I made a trek to Mount Everest base camp with 2 of my friends. We were fortunate enough to have Ram Adhikari as our guide. Ram and his two Sherpa's were amazing. They were obviously veterans of the trekking industry and we never had to worry about anything. From the moment we arrived in Kathmandu until we left, our every need was taken care of. Ram was extremely knowledgeable of all aspects of our journey. He seemed to have an ability to know when we were tired and needed a rest. He knew the pace that we were capable of maintaining and was always watching what we did and how we were doing. He told us what to expect each day on our journey and was able to answer all questions about the region and the culture. I never once was concerned about our safety. I'd highly recommend Ram to anyone visiting Nepal as someone who will take care of your needs. As a matter of fact I'm planning on bringing a larger group to return to Base Camp in the fall of 2011 and will only go if Ram is available.
Bob Munro, Canada Cannot love trekking more! The beautiful Nepal natural scenery ranks the top amongst the 35 countries that I visited so far. And the 4-days trek along the Annapurna Ghorepani-Poonhill Circuit that I took in Feb 2010 was even like a year's travel which drove me across the 4 seasons nature views all at a glance, including the green farms, brown forests, white mountain top, and colourful villages. RAM was my guide during the trek. However, his expertise, caring and friendly attitude made us very good friends up till now. He's always by our sides whenever we wanted a chat, had questions, started to feel tired, needed helps, etc. What's more, his quality services, including the voluntary luggage carrying when we were exhausted and delightful singing from time to time in the mountain areas, did give all of us a perfect retrieval of life with lots of enjoyment. As we were not experienced trekkers, we were a little unsure on exactly which trek would be suitable for us with the time we had available.
